Our Founder

World Missions for Jesus was founded by Ulrich Huyssen. He was a German by birth, but resided for several years in the United States, as well as several other parts of the world where he was engaged in missionary work. From childhood Ulrich Huyssen felt called to be a missionary. After a trip to the United States to learn English and train at Moody Bible Institute, he returned to his native Germany. At age of 22 he left from there to do missionary work in Nigeria.

In the '70's He founded WORLD MISSIONS FOR JESUS, with branches in the United States and Germany. Brother Huyssen served as the primary missionary of WMFJ for several years. He labored in India, Ghana, Haiti, all over southeast Asia, and most recently in the Philippine Islands. From the Philippines, he launched out into ministries in other Asian nations such as Burma, Malaysia, Vietnam. During his over 25 years of ministry he established many missions and nurtured them. Aside from his latest work, he wrote two major books The Violence of Fire, which has also been produced as a motion picture and God's Troubleshooter, plus some books in German. His latest book, Living God's Love, was actually completed by his wife after his death.

Brother Huyssen was a man of vision and determination in the work of the Lord. God used him many times to help young missionaries become established on a mission field, providing guidance and help from his own experience. After his death, in October of 1994, the work he started still goes on.
